1,000 Books Before Kindergarten
Ready, Set, READ! Are you up for the challenge? Join parents and caregivers across the nation in a race to read 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten! A toddler’s brain creates up to two MILLION new connections every second and reading aloud is the best way to grow those connections. As a participant in this program, your child will receive a certificate for every 100 books read, a “book buddy” at 500 books, and special book bag when they reach 1,000 books. Stop by the library service desk to register and receive your first reading log.
Story Time
Join us at the library each Tuesday morning at 10:30am for a new story and craft! Storytime is a first step toward building literacy and social skills for your child.
Story time is also hosted weekly in Harristown at the Harristown Village Hall, Wednesdays at 10:30am.

Bring your little ones to make music each Friday at 10:30am at Barclay Public Library! Join us in singing songs and playing instruments! No registration required.
