Barclay offers lamination service to the public! Charge for this service is 75 cents a square foot.

Are you a student in grades 8-12 who would like someone to proofread your writing assignment? Send an email to dmoore@barclay.lib.il.us to schedule time on a Tuesday or Thursday evening. Be sure to bring a paper or digital copy of your draft.

The Orphan Collector, Ellen Marie Wiseman
1918 Philadelphia during the Spanish Flu, thirteen year old German immigrant Pia Lange is living in the slums with her Mother and infant twin brothers. Her Father is off at war. Tragedy strikes and Pia does what she thinks is best for her family. She then wakes up after collapsing on the streets and is taken to St. Vincent’s Orphanage. Now she wants answers and begins a journey for truth, justice, and redemption.

Join us at Illini Cemetery to hear Scott Bird tell stories of Warrensburg’s memorable and notorious characters from years past. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and be prepared to walk on uneven ground.

Spring Rummage Sale & Library Book & Bake Sale

Friday, April 28th and Saturday, April 29th

*Volunteers are needed for setup and take down.*
Drop by the library book sale during the town rummage sale. The library will be making maps of rummage sale locations again this year. Call or come into the library to be added to the map for free.

New Library Cards for Veterans
New library cards are now available for our patrons who are veterans. These new cards were purchased by the Don Craig Memorial Fund.

Hook Nook Crochet Class

The first and third Tuesday of the month
(April 4th and April 18th) at 6:30pm

A crocheting class for true beginners where we will be learning the basics. One hook and one basic stitch will allow you to produce an abundance of projects, and learning that one basic stitch is incredibly easy. You will also learn about crochet techniques, gauge, hook sizes, yarn thickness, and other beginner stitches. You will practice with guidance each step of the way. At the end of the class, you will confidently be able to walk away knowing the basics of crochet and ready to start your own projects.
