Friends of Barclay Library

The Friends of Barclay Library meets the 4th Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. The Friends group supports the library through the annual Book and Bake Sale, Christmas Cookie Walk and other fundraising activities. So far, in 2011 the Friends have donated $1,500 for the purchase of library materials, and nearly $1,000 for programs, including the Summer Reading Club. The library's needs are ever-changing, but always present. New projects for 2012 will be discussed at upcoming meetings, to help continue the excellent service that Barclay Library provides for all of us. New members are always welcome - please consider joining us in support of Barclay Library! Meeting dates and times are listed below. Meeting attendance is not a requirement, although your support in planning events and activities is appreciated. Mostly, we would like to know that we have your support through your membership, which is only $5.00 per year. Please consider joining us in supporting our wonderful library.

Friends of Barclay Library Planning for 2012
At the January 23 meeting, we will begin making plans for fundraising and other events for the coming year. Already, we are talking about some "Friend-raising" activities in February, which is Library Lovers' Month. It is also the end of our new fiscal year, which makes it a perfect time to encourage renewals and new memberships in the Friends.
All Barclay Library patrons are invited and encouraged to help support the library by joining the Friends. Dues are only $5 per person for a year, or $10 for a family. Business memberships are $25. We appreciate the support from all of you who joined last year, and look forward to another year of working together to support the library and its programs. When you join, you have the option of choosing to help with any of our various projects, but it is not required. Come to any meeting if you are interested in learning about the projects and fundraising events we sponsor.
Don't forget - the January meeting is Monday, the 23rd, at 6:30 in the library's meeting room. Hope to see you there!
